Dr. Shirley Trotter, local president of Decatur/Metro League, won first place at the GSBCL Convention Better Speaker Contest and went to the National Beauty Culturists' League, Inc. 100th year Convention where she won Second Place at the Youth for Beauty Better Speaker Contest speaking on "We are stronger, wiser and greater."

Beauty League) received a Certificate of Appreciation from Sigma Nu Theta National Fraternity thanking her for helping to celebrate the National Beauty Culturists' League, Inc. 100 years. Dr. Mary T. Martin, local president of Columbus Beauty League, won second place in the Youth for Beauty Better Speaker Contest at the Georgia State Beauty Culturists' League, Inc, Convention in Augusta.
This monetary award for 2019 went to Mrs. Gunzella Crawford (Thomasville League) for her outstanding performance in the beauty profession for a minimum of eleven years. To be eligible, a resume must be approved by the local president to be sent in for consideration.
Rev. Dr. Mable Randall (Macon/Middle Ga League) was awarded the Helene Savare Award of Theta Nu Sigma National Sorority at the 100th year National Beauty Culturists' League, Inc. Convention . Rev. Dr. Randall also won third place in the GSBCL Convention Better Speaker Contest.
