The theme for the night at the National Beauty Culturists' League, Inc. was "The Wild, Wild West". Thanks to Dr. Shirley Trotter for coming up with an idea that won Georgia second place.
If you hadn't noticed throughout the website, Ms. Devette Green gave an outstanding timed speech that captivated the ears and hearts of all—bringing home first place.
Georgia has dominated this department for many years, and at the National Convention this year, it was no exception. Once again, Ms. Green shone, winning the Royal Crown of Queen.
Thanks to all our members for the hard work in selling all the tickets assigned to Georgia. The top prize went to someone in Perry, and the third prize winner in Thomasville.
Since her appointment as Supreme Basileus of Theta Nu Sigma National Sorority in November, Soror Sarah Simmons has been diligently working to stabilize and assemble the organization's agenda. She held a successful first Dawn Breakfast, which was well attended.
We have members who are currently enrolled in the program and have received a BA or MA in the arts, but no graduates this year. We encourage any member to pursue their professional degree through our IOC program at the National level.
